A little history lesson for Vipassana meditation!
Gautam Buddha was the practitioner of vipassana meditation, and he was the one who propagated it, and he could have invented it too, but we cannot say for sure!
The Buddhist religion began with the foundation and that foundation was Vipassana. What the Buddha preached was not Buddhism, it is vipassana. However, religion arose from the people who followed the Buddha.
How to do vipassana meditation?
Vipassana means observe yourself. Vipassana meditation is a lot similar to breathing meditation or consciousness meditation, and many aspects of these meditations are the result of the vipassana meditation technique.

Therefore, the essence of Vipassana meditation is observation, as I said before, but the reason for this observation and the ideology of the Buddhists behind the observation is really different.
Start by focusing on breathing and try to feel small sensations in your nose and nose hair.
Try to feel the fresh air coming in and the slightly warmer air coming out of your nose.
To try feel every little sensation around your nose related to breathing.
You can also pay attention to the feeling of the stomach as it swells when you inhale and relaxes as you exhale.
This is how vipassana meditation is done in a nutshell, it is really easy but difficult to master.
Why vipassana? And what a reason to look at these smaller things!
What the Buddha believed was that we always complain about things! Either we yearn for something we don’t have, or we hate what we already have! So what we are really doing is opposing what nature has to give us, and in return we will be saddened by this opposition!
And Buddha wanted to accept! I wanted acceptance! And I wanted acceptance because I knew that acceptance would bring happiness as a by-product!
As we observe the breath, and as we become more observant, we begin to feel every little sensation in our body. Itching and pleasant sensations are part of it! But what It happens then it is really interesting and important to know and change!
What is the first thought when you feel itchy in your back while meditating?
“Oh shit, that won’t allow me to concentrate throughout the session !!!”
“Let’s move once and get rid of this itch FOREVER !!! (but it’s never forever)
“Wow, that feeling is amazing, why don’t I have it more often !!!”
The first thing our mind does is react to it! You want the feeling to go away or last longer! The feeling is what nature has given you, but you are not accepting it as it is and for the moment it is!
How to do vipassana meditation?
Why do I ask this again? The reason is that the essence of vipassana meditation is not to judge feelings, to accept and observe the small itching or pleasant sensations.
Once your brain gets into the habit of accepting, will automatically start applying to other areas of your life! And that’s when you’ll hear “Oh, I’m happier! But why am I happier all of a sudden? “
You are not “suddenly” happier, you are happier because your mind has begun to accept the situations and things that nature has thrown at you!
This is why Gautam Buddha practiced vipassana.
Try this meditation technique at least a month or two. But what I would personally suggest is that it becomes a habit! I go through it once a week or so! (Here are 5 meditation techniques you can circulate and never get bored. Let’s face it, this is the biggest problem!) Do it for a week and change your technique again! The key is to be consistent.
