Good things happen to us in life, but as we have all probably discovered, bad things happen to us. We lose someone we love, or we may lose our income, our health, our ability to do things we love, or we may not be able to cope with our workload, our responsibilities, our situation in life. The possibilities are endless, but one thing is for sure we will all reach a low point at some point.
The lemons of life are inevitable, in fact, sometimes life stinks!
Some who get to this low point get angry, others suffer from depression and others suffer from anxiety and it is often a mixture of all three and consuming. Perhaps the hardest thing when we are suffering like this is to accept the situation and accept how I feel.
Before we can move forward we must accept that whatever situation I find myself in now, this is my reality. It doesn’t necessarily always be that way, it doesn’t mean it’s right or I agree with it, it’s just what’s happening and it’s out of my control.
It is difficult to practice acceptance when you deeply want things to be different, but our common sense will tell us, we can accept or reject what is happening and in fact it is rejection of the situation that causes even more frustration and pain. .
Research validates that our willingness to accept the immutable has a lot to do with our emotional and psychological well-being.

In this overwhelming situation of suffering, our driving force is usually to find a quick fix so that we can begin to feel better in some way. Some people resort to panacea such as alcohol, drugs or illegal drugs, while others try to dive into healthier alternatives such as exercise or joining a local sports team. But more and more when life becomes bitter, many people try to meditate to help them cope.
Now, as a 40-year-old senior meditation teacher, I won’t tell you that the results of meditation are immediate and that it’s as easy as taking a pill, but I can guarantee that if you take some time out of your daily life to apply the process. , meditation can and will provide some peace of mind. The best thing I have found in meditation is that it will not only give us relief and time to get away from our problems, but it will also help us to accept them and find the right tools to bring us back from the gloomy abyss. what we are often lost. while giving us a solid foundation to move forward.
With a little patience and constant meditation practice, we will see some light at the end of our dark tunnel. We’ll find some peace of mind and heart, and while the blatant problem may still be there, it won’t affect or bother us as much, and now we have clarity on how to deal with it better.
Thus, when life strikes, we can simply sit down, take meditation into our minds and hearts, and find peace, solutions, and acceptance.
