Heart Centered Kirtan
Kirtan is a meditative and energizing practice of devotional call-and-response singing. The repetition of the phrases combined with the back-and-forth nature of this group practice soothes the mind, creates community, and fosters an awareness of something greater than one's individual self.
This month's theme is New Beginnings in anticipation of Spring, and Wallah Libby Volckening (harmonium/vocals) will be joined by the amazing line up of James Robinson (guitar/vocals), Melissa Stevens (vocals), Nico D'Amico (bass), and Dave Noonan (percussion).
Heart Centered Kirtans are informal, accessible and inspirational. You don’t need to be a great singer or know any Sanskrit to enjoy Kirtan. Come sing, dance, or just listen -- and let the music clear your mind and relax your heart.
Suggested donation $15 (more if you can, less if you can't) appreciated, but not required. Everyone is welcome!
