  * Kids 10+ are welcome to most classes for only $10 per class (ages 10-13 accompanied by parent/guardian, age 14+ anytime)! Contact the instructor to pre-register.

  * All classes welcome beginners unless otherwise indicated. For details see class levels definitions below, or contact instructor directly.

  * Most classes are on-going, so you can start anytime.  

  * Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early for registration and orientation. 

  * Prices range from $10-15 for dropping in to a class. Check class description or contact instructor for details. Some barter slots available.

Achieving Balance: Flexible & Strong (Sat 9-10:30 am) < No class Dec 23, 30
Balance body, mind, and spirit with this unique blend of EmbodYoga™ and Viniyoga™ that incorporates functional movements, core strengthening, conscious breathing, and mindfulness. You do not have to be 'Gumby' to benefit from this approach. For men and women with any level of flexibility who are interested in an active yoga practice. Drop in anytime. No class Dec 23 or 30.

In each class, we will practice simple exercises designed to help you move, balance, breathe, focus and relax so that you can get the most out of the rest of your day! Kids Kung Fu - Ages 5+ (Sundays 10:30-11:30 am / Tuesdays 4 - 5 pm)

Co-led by Nancy Rothenberg and Morgan Kent, this class is part of the YES! (Youth Empowerment & Safety) Program that inspires confidence and kindness in every child. In a fun and focused learning environment, children learn to value and respect themselves and others through the practice of movement, meditation, kung-fu, self-defense and anti-bullying education.

West African Drum Class (Sundays 4:30-6 pm) < Advance registration required

Have you played some drums but want more technique? Do you need to find a way to manage stress and connect with others in a fun way? Come join instructor Lisa Newell of Gaia Roots for this on-going series focusing on West African Djembe and DounDoun. You will refine your timing, technique and posture, learn the history of the drums and rhythms, and gain more confidence as a drummer. Bring your own full-size djembe or reserve one to rent. Some experience necessary. Sorry no drop-ins: enrollment by instructor permission only.

Bento Lunch Flow (Mon 12-1 pm)  < NEW! Starts Dec 4
This all-levels lunchtime class will leave you feeling refreshed and ready for the week. Like a bento box, this is a compact and thoughtfully structured session that allows students to sample various elements of yoga asana. Expect flow sequences, surya namaskars, balancing, and core strengthening work combined in a way to enhance overall flexibility and strength. Runs Dec 4, 11 and 18. Advance registration requested.

Yin Yoga (Mon 5:30 - 6:45 pm)  < Runs thru Dec 18
This deliciously meditative class epitomizes deep release and relaxation. Class begins with a series of gentle pranayam techniques, floor-based and gentle standing postures are supported, and poses are held between 3 - 5 minutes. In contrast to more active Yang muscle-focused practices, Yin Yoga focuses on lubricating the connective tissues of the body (ligaments, tendons, fascia) to bring new and unexpected openings. Clear energetic blocks, improve circulation, and promote growth and flexibility in this mellow yet challenging class, beneficial for beginners and athletes alike. This class pairs well and enriches any strong physical practice. All levels welcome. Drop in anytime. Runs thru Dec 18.

Mindful Yoga (Mon 5:30-6:45 pm) < NEW! Starts Jan 8
Join us as we explore the deep heart of yoga in this true all-levels class. Regardless of our level of yoga experience, a rich practice is not about creating elaborate or difficult shapes but is, instead, formed by listening to the subtle cues of our own body and expressing our inner alignment with integrity. Mindful Yoga offers a quiet practice that allows this listening, with emphasis on self-discovery, guided by the sensations of the breath, finding space in the body, and ease in the mind. Each class includes simple flowing postures, guided meditation, pranayama, and gently-held restorative poses. For everyone, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Yoga & Support for Living with Grief & Sorrow (Tues 11:45 am - 1:15 pm)

Starts Dec 19

Please join us for this eight-week course, offered by psychotherapist and yoga teacher Joyce Landau. Using techniques from the yoga tradition, from modern psychotherapy, and from mindfulness practices, we will look together at sources of sorrow in our lives -- whether those are acute grief or ongoing challenges -- and explore ways of finding ease, and moving forward with joy. Each session will include guided relaxation and breathwork, soothing movement, compassionate explorations of the body and the mind, and time to speak together and support one another. No yoga experience needed. Runs Dec 19 - Feb 6. Advance registration required.

This slow-flow class is structured to ease your body and your mind.  The hour and a half format allows for longer holds in postures and deeper relaxation.  Expect meditative movement aligned with your breath, restorative-style sequencing/holds, some strengthening work, and occasionally some balance work incorporated for body awareness.
